Frequently asked questions

What to expect before your consultation?

Our treatment services include initial sessions, standard follow-up, and extended sessions with our Psychotherapy and wellness team. Before your session, our providers will send you an extensive health history questionnaire to be filled out prior to your initial session. Your practitioner will then review your history, concerns, risk, and lifestyle, including past clinical notes and medical information, ahead of time.

How do personalized treatment plans work?

Our clinicians establish a personalized treatment plan based on your symptoms, and a variety of advanced bio-individual assessment tools, including:

  • Depression, anxiety, and stress testing
  • Adverse Childhood Experience testing
  • Post Trauma Symptoms Severity Testing
  • Trauma Symptom Inventory
  • Lifespan attachment and trauma history markers
  • Safety and stabilization testing

After reviewing the initial visit and the assessments, your clinician will give you a personalized treatment plan, including tailored trauma-specific treatments, body-based interventions, self-regulation skills, and lifestyle recommendations. You will also receive tools to track your progress throughout our work together.

I've gone to Therapy before. How is this different?

  • What's the minimum and maximum length of the sessions covered (i.e., 30 minutes, 50 minutes, 80 minutes, etc.)?

How do I/we know if we need couples’ therapy?

Partners don’t always grow in the same way or pace and this difference can sometimes lead to feeling distant and disconnected. Couples come to therapy to resolve conflict, learn to communicate better, and feel closer to one another. But you don’t have to wait till problems show up. You can also choose therapy to deepen your bond before problems show up.
